Can I Make Bread With Cuisinart DLC5BC?

Is this a question you are asking yourself: "Can I Make Bread With Cuisinart DLC5BC?" Well you can, the is very suitable to make the dough for a small bread. As the Cuisinart DLC5BC Food Processor 7-Cup Chrome is only a 7 cup capacity you cannot expect to make the dough for a huge loaf in it, but it is certainly suitable for an average sized loaf.

Here is a recipe to try with your Cuisinart DLC5BC:

CRUSTY BUTTERMILK BREAD

Ingredients:
  • 4 cups whole wheat flour
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 dessertspoon honey or soft brown sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
Method:
  1. Preheat the oven to 350° F. Grease a 6 cup loaf pan.
  2. Mix the bicarbonate of soda with a little of the buttermilk. Stir into the rest of the buttermilk.
  3. Mix the whole wheat flour, honey or brown sugar and salt. Add the buttermilk mixture and mix well.
  4. Place the dough in the loaf pan and smooth the top.
  5. Bake for an hour. Allow to cool slightly in the pan, then turn out on a wire rack and allow to cool completely.
  6. Serve with butter and jam or cheese.
To make this recipe in your Cuisinart DLC5BC should be very easy. Go and have a look! It is well worth a try. To be honest, I haven't tried yet as I use my stand mixer to make it.
