It is always handy to have something such as a pasta sauce, frozen in portion, in your freezer for those emergencies. If you have and extra freezer, such as the Frigidaire Chest Freezer, making this sauce will come in handy.For making this sauce you will need quite a big pot and for that the Cuisinart Classic Stockpot is ideal.
Here is your recipe for Italian Tomato Pasta Sauce:
Ingredients:
- 8 Pints of very ripe tomatoes chopped (for this one of the Cuisinart 11 Cup Pro Custom 11 Food Processors will come in handy)
- 2 Chopped carrots
- 1 Chopped onion
- 2 Tablespoons of chopped sweet basil
- 1/2 Cup chopped celery
- 2 Teaspoons salt
- 1 Small piece of cinnamon
- 1/2 Teaspoon freshly ground black pepper (for this a Cuisinart SG 10 Electric Spice And Nut Grinder will come in real handy!)
- 1/2 Freshly ground cloves
Method:
- Boil all the ingredients until all the vegetables are soft and cooked
- Process all the ingredients with a Cuisinart CSB-76 Smart Stick Hand Blender until completely pureed
- Boil this on a very low heat until it reached the desired thickness for the sauce as you like it
- Freeze in portions
